Political Unions:
A framework for empowerment toward more radical and effective democracy.
The word activism can refer to activities ranging from whistle-blowing, computer hacking, and leaking state secrets - to group discussion and online debate.

Instances from the first category have had significant and lasting effects, and the accompanying risks and punishments have been proportionally profound.

We believe that there are many people who have not participated in any political action who would welcome the opportunity to do so on the condition that the number of fellow participants is large enough.

Depending on scale, the effect of a relatively large turnout could be:
  1. Safety in numbers: Police are unlikely to attack a very large body of non-violent people, and national media would be recording such an event.
  2. Effectiveness: The sheer number of participants gives weight to any demand.

•  The Political Unions agenda is to provide an easy way for large numbers of people to commit to some form of political action, only if and when explicit conditions are met, such as that some specified number of people have also made that same commitment, hoping to encourage non-violent civil action that would otherwise be too threatening or otherwise inaccessible to these participants.

•  The intention of Political Unions is to unite great numbers of people in social contracts to effectively demand and require political reform, social justice, and general improvement to the prospects of life on Earth.
